Check your LEI's current status
Search your LEI code or your company name on LEI Search or on the Global LEI Index. Two fields matter: Registration s
tatus (Issued means active, Lapsed means it needs renewing) and Managing LOU (the issuer now responsible for it, which will no longer be GMEI).
If your LEI is active
Nothing is wrong. Your renewal notices now come from the managing LOU shown on the record. If you would prefer to consolidate the LEI with the rest of your portfolio, you can transfer it to LEI Worldwide free of charge. The code stays the same.
If your LEI has lapsed
It needs renewing before it can be used for regulatory reporting. We can renew and transfer it in one step, which reactivates it. Log in to RAMP and choose Renew or Transfer, or contact support with the LEI code and we will trace it for you.
If you can't find your LEI at all
Search by your company's legal name on LEI Search. If nothing appears, contact support with your company name and jurisdiction and we will locate the record. Many former GMEI LEIs were left unattended when the people managing them changed roles; tracing them is routine for our team.
